Level A2 Writing (Young Adolescents)

Teachers Together English offers a comprehensive and engaging 52-week writing curriculum designed specifically for young adolescent learners (ages 11-14) working at the CEFR A2 level. This program is carefully structured to progressively build students’ skills, bridging the gap from basic sentence construction to multi-draft paragraph writing. Drawing directly from the Cambridge A2 Key for Schools topic list, all lessons are contextualized for a teenage perspective, covering highly relatable themes such as school life, friendships, hobbies, travel, and the future.

These lessons can seamlessly supplement your existing curriculum, serve as a standalone specialty course, or act as an excellent follow-up for students advancing past our Level 1 foundation.

Skills Developed:

• Foundational Mechanics: Mastering simple sentences, the ‘be’ verb, present tenses, and linking ideas with basic connectors like and, but, and because.
• Social & Practical Communication: Navigating social exchanges, making polite requests, asking questions, and writing 25+ word informal correspondence (like emails and invitations).
• Narrative Storytelling: Using past tenses and narrative sequencers (first, then, next) to confidently write 35-word picture stories and multi-paragraph recounts.
• Looking Forward & Expressing Ideas: Utilizing future forms (will and going to), making comparisons, expressing personal opinions, and writing structured reviews.
