Getting Started
No. Your account is completely free to create and requires only your email address. A credit card is only needed if you decide to move to a paid plan.
The free tier gives you permanent access to a selection of free lessons across all levels, the in-app classroom viewer for those lessons, the placement test, and session feedback logging for up to 3 students. Your student profiles, feedback history, and placement reports are yours to keep regardless of whether you ever subscribe.
Your account moves back to the free tier automatically. You keep everything you created: student profiles, session feedback records, placement reports, and lesson history. Nothing is deleted. You just lose access to the full curriculum and any gated tools until you resubscribe.
Annual plans cancelled within 7 days of purchase or renewal are eligible for a full refund. Monthly plans are not refunded for the current billing period, but you can cancel before the next one charges. For anything unusual, email hello@teacherstogetherenglish.com and David will handle it directly.
Yes. Your student profiles, session feedback, placement results, and lesson history belong to you. You can export your data at any time. If you close your account, your data is held for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently deleted on request.
Platform Compatibility
The classroom viewer is browser-based. Any platform that lets you share your screen during a session will work. The lesson displays in your browser; you share that tab with your student.
These platforms support full student interactivity (students can interact with lesson elements directly, not just watch):
- Koala Go (built-in co-browser)
- RemoteHQ (built-in co-browser)

These platforms support screen sharing but not full student interactivity. You interact with the lesson on your end based on the student’s verbal responses:
- Zoom (screen share, give control)
- ClassIn (multi-way screen share)
- VooV (screen share, give control)
- Skype
- Microsoft Teams
- Google Meet
If your student is on an iPad, test your chosen platform before committing. Full interactivity on iPad varies by platform. A quick test lesson before your first paid session will tell you exactly what your student can and cannot interact with.
Yes. You can teach using Teachers Together lessons on any online platform, so long as you comply with TTE’s Terms of Use and check your platform’s own policy on third-party materials. Most platforms permit this for independent contractors.
The classroom viewer requires an internet connection during the lesson. Homework sheets are available as downloadable PDFs you can send to students before or after class.
The platform is fully mobile-responsive and works in a mobile browser. A dedicated iOS or Android app is not currently available. For live teaching sessions, most tutors use a laptop or tablet since the classroom viewer benefits from a larger screen.
It depends on which platform you use to deliver the session. Platforms with a built-in co-browser (Koala Go, RemoteHQ, FunClass) give students on iPads full interactivity. Screen-sharing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) do not — the student watches your screen rather than interacting with the lesson directly. Test your setup before your first session.
Curriculum Reference
There are currently over 700 lessons across the full curriculum. This includes the core ESL curriculum (Pre-A1 through B2), plus specialist tracks: KET Speaking Prep, Phonics, American English Expressions, and Holiday packs. New lessons are added regularly.
Every level in the core curriculum has three parallel tracks: Kids, Teens, and Adults. The linguistic content is the same at each level, but the imagery, vocabulary examples, and activity styles are matched to the age group. A Pre-A1 Kids lesson uses cartoons and play-based activities. A B1 Adults lesson uses realistic photography, professional scenarios, and denser vocabulary work.

If you are unsure where to place a new student, use the built-in placement test. It takes 20-30 minutes, covers Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Reading, and Speaking, and generates a placement report with a recommended starting lesson. The report can be shared with parents as a link — no login required to view it.
Use the comparison table above to find the closest TTE equivalent to their current level. If they were at VIPKid Level 3, start them at TTE Level 3 and use the placement test to confirm. The placement test recommendation always takes priority over a rough table match.
The session feedback tool and student tracking work with any material. You can log a session for a student even when you taught from your own slides, a textbook, or another platform’s curriculum. The TTE curriculum is there when you want it — the tools work regardless.
Yes. Lesson idea submissions are available to all plan holders through the platform. If you are on the Ultimate plan, you can submit bespoke lesson requests (up to 5 per month) with specific level, age group, and topic requirements. These are built and added to your library within 7-10 business days.
Tools and Features
The placement test is a 20-30 minute adaptive assessment covering five skill areas: Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Reading, and Speaking. The test adapts in real time — stronger answers unlock harder questions, weaker answers route to easier ones. When it finishes, the app generates a placement report automatically. The report includes a recommended CEFR level, a skills radar chart, a plain-language summary for parents, and the specific lesson recommended as a starting point. Reports are automatically translated into the student’s home language and can be shared as a link with no login required.
The Feedback Generator (available on Tutor Tools+ and Ultimate plans) drafts a structured written session summary from your notes. You enter what you covered and how the student performed; it produces a formatted summary you can copy, edit, and send to a student or parent, or keep in your own records.
The Homework Creator builds a ready-to-use homework prompt matched to the lesson you just taught. You choose the lesson and the focus areas you want reinforced; it generates a structured prompt you can use to build a worksheet in any free tool you already have. Available on Tutor Tools+ and Ultimate plans.
The Teaching Assistant is an on-demand support tool available inside the classroom. It already knows which lesson you are running, so you do not need to explain context. Use it to get a different explanation of a grammar point, pull a quick vocabulary extension, or generate a follow-up activity idea mid-session. It is a support tool for teachers, not a replacement for the lesson.

Yes. School plans are available with a base of 3 teacher seats. The account holder (called the Supervisor) gets an overview panel to manage teacher access and seat allocation. School Premium gives all teachers full curriculum access. School Ultimate adds the full Tutor Tools+ suite for every seat.

The Supervisor panel gives an overview of seat usage and teacher roster management. Detailed session-level reporting stays private to each teacher. The Supervisor manages access; they do not have visibility into individual student sessions.
About the Platform
David Cole, an educator with 18 years of experience across corporate training, university instruction, and online ESL tutoring. He started building the Teachers Together English curriculum in 2021 with a team of other teachers, and rebuilt the platform from scratch in 2024 as a complete independent teaching system. He still teaches 10 students a week on the platform himself.
Most platforms give you content or tools but not both in one place. The Tutor Resource combines a purpose-built ESL curriculum with the classroom viewer, student tracking, placement testing, session feedback logging, business reporting, and teaching tools in a single tab. It was built by a working ESL tutor for independent tutors — not by a content company that added features later.

How much does it cost? You can become a member of the full curriculum for $12.99 per month, or an individual level for $4.99 per month. You can cancel at any time. We also offer a free tier membership, which includes a selection of lessons from across the levels.
No, the lessons are web-based. You can screen share them during classes with your students or open them in a browser within the platform you’re using.
Lessons can be used on tutoring or video calling platforms that allow you to share a webpage during class. We highly recommend these first two platforms because they allow full interactivity for students on computers and iPads:

If your platform of choice doesn’t support student interaction, you can still use Teachers Together lessons, with the teacher dragging objects or clicking based on the student’s response.
The student will still be able to draw so long as your platform has a drawing tool.

There are currently over 600 lessons available in the Core Curriculum. There are six complete levels with bonus options also available. Many units have some homework and worksheets, with more to come!
We also are developing a Writing Curriculum and some of the units are currently available. This is something you can teach as standalone or to accompany the core curriculum.
Premium members have access to ‘bonus content’ including several holiday lessons as well as pre-level 1 lessons which offer additional practice with ABCs and counting.

If you are unsure where to place your student, we encourage you to the Assessment tools provided by Teachers Together. These are available to Free and Premium subscribers. This will give you a Teachers Together level and a CEFR level.

Teachers Together now offers two powerful assessment tools to help you evaluate your students’ English proficiency:
- General Assessment – This assessment evaluates reading, speaking, listening, and grammar skills to determine a student’s overall English level.
- Writing Assessment – This tool helps teachers assess students’ writing skills, including sentence structure, grammar, and coherence.
Both assessments include a personalized learning plan based on the results, making it easier for teachers to place students at the right level and tailor lessons to their needs. These tools are available for free tier and Premium members.
Yes, we have begun to add previews and homework for the lessons. Previews have been added to a number of the units in Level 2.

Members are welcome to teach using Teachers Together resources on any online platform so long as they comply with the Terms of Use.
